Are your items clean?

    One of the most frequent praises we receive from our customers is being so happy and surprised with the cleanliness and quality of all our items. This is what really places ABBF above other services: we actually CLEAN your items before they are delivered to you.

    A BABY'S BEST FRIEND is THE ONLY SERVICE that uses high-volume low-pressure 220+ degree STEAM to SANITIZE ALL EQUIPMENT between uses. This insures the cleanest, safest, most sterilized items for you and your baby! This dedication to detail is one of the MANY reasons why A BABY'S BEST FRIEND has been the Orlando Resort Area LEADER in Equipment Rental Service since 1998!

    Between each use and prior to delivery to you, all non-cloth items are STEAM-cleaned and sanitized with a non-toxic environmentally friendly antibacterial disinfectant. They are then delivered to you in clear protective wrap to insure they arrive clean and fresh for your use. (Cribs, toddler beds, rocking chairs, and wheelchairs are not delivered in a protective wrap).

    All removable cloth materials (crib bedding, removable stroller pads, swing and bouncer covers, etc.) are washed in hot water and environmentally friendly antibacterial soap, sealed and delivered to you in clear wrap.

How far in advance should I make a reservation?

    As A Baby's Best Friend does not charge your credit card until 10 days prior to your arrival, we HIGHLY recommend that you reserve your items with us at the same time you reserve your lodging. Availability of equipment is confirmed when a reservation is made. Whether you place your reservation by telephone or by using our secure on-line reservation form, you will receive e-mail confirmation within 1 business day.

Are your cribs really full size like I have at home?
And are your mattresses really 6" ?


    Yes, the cribs offered by A Baby's Best Friend are 30" x 54", which is exactly the size of your home crib. It is delivered to you folded and requires no assembly to use; simply unhook the Velcro strap, open, lower the support board and that's it. Five seconds, tops.

The mattress we provide for you is a full 6", 204-coil inner-spring mattress that fits correctly to the sides of the crib for your baby's safety and comfort.
A Baby's Best Friend is THE ONLY service in the area that offers this mattress.

Our full cribs are Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association CERTIFIED, and meet all Consumer Product Safety Commission safety requirements of ASTM F-1169 and F-966, and have NEVER been a subject of a recall.

Can delivery be made to our hotel prior to our arrival and retrieved after our departure?

    Yes. All items (except cribs, toddler beds, rocking chairs, and wheelchairs) are individually wrapped in clear protective wrap, tagged with A Baby's Best Friend delivery tags bearing your name, and delivered to the Bell Desk (Luggage Room) of the Hotel/Resort you specify. The reverse side of the delivery tag has a reminder to return the items to the luggage room upon your departure.

    Please keep in mind that our commitment to you is having your requested items to the luggage room of the resort where you are staying by 6:00 P.M., and the resorts are gracious to allow the temporary storage of those items. It is your responsibility to retrieve the items from the luggage room to your room, and vice versa. If you request that Bell Services do this for you, please treat this the same as their assisting you with your luggage, and pourboire (offer gratuity) accordingly.

We will be staying at a private residence. Can you deliver the items prior to my arrival and retrieve them after my departure?

    Absolutely. Please provide the name, address, and telephone number of the contact person there.

Are there a minimum number of days I need to rent equipment?

    No, you may rent for one or two nights if you need. However, due to our Free Delivery, there is a two night minimum rental rate, even if the requested rental time is less than two nights.

When will my credit card be charged?

    Your credit card is not charged until 10 business days prior to delivery. We encourage you to reserve early in your trip planning to ensure availability.

What is the cancellation policy?

    You have until ten business days prior to delivery to cancel your reservation. Your arrival date is not counted as one business day.

We are spending part of our vacation at one hotel, and then switching to another for the remainder. Does that cause a problem?

    Not at all. If both hotels are in our delivery area, we will deliver to the first and retrieve from the second. Please be sure to specify this in the 'additional information' section when using our reservation form.

Can we be met at the Airport, or can you leave the items at our car rental agency?

    Due to heightened security measures at Orlando International Airport and Sanford International Airport, we will not be able to meet you or leave rental items at the airport or car rental agencies. However, if the need exists, we can usually arrange a meeting near the airport. If this is your circumstance, please call and we will be happy to make arrangements with you.

Can I pick up the equipment myself?

    We offer free delivery of all items to the Walt Disney World Resort area. We do not offer a pick up option.

When does the rental period begin?

    The rental period is the number of nights between your arrival date and your departure date. All items are available for you when you arrive, (by the standard check-in time of 6:00 P.M.), and all items must be ready for retrieval by A Baby's Best Friend by 10:00 a.m. on the date of departure.

Do I need to be present when the crib is delivered?

    No. If you are staying in a hotel/resort, the crib, mattress, and bedding will be delivered to the luggage room. The mattress and bedding are in separate protective wraps. The crib is fully assembled, opens and is ready to use in seconds. On your last day, return all items to the luggage room, where we retrieve it. Very easy.

    If you have rented a home, the crib and any additional items you rent will be delivered before you arrive as well, usually to the covered patio area at the rear of the home.

Do you have other locations in the United States?

    No. As we are privately owned and operated (not a franchise), we give you all of our attention in the Orlando Resort area only.

    However, in 2012, A Baby's Best Friend will be offering franchise opportunities for additional cities throughout the United States. If you are interested, you may contact us through the website.

What is the Florida Law concerning children and car seat requirements?

    This is from the Florida Highway Patrol web site:

        Florida Statutes 316.613 Child restraint requirements.--(1)(a) Every operator of a motor vehicle as defined herein, while transporting a child in a motor vehicle operated on the roadways, streets, or highways of this state, shall, if the child is 5 years of age or younger, provide for protection of the child by properly using a crash-tested, federally approved child restraint device.

        For children aged through 3 years, such restraint device must be a separate carrier or a vehicle manufacturer's integrated child seat.

For children aged 4 through 5 years, a separate carrier, an integrated child seat, or a seat belt may be used.

We do not have children. May we still order from you?

    Yes, certainly. We understand adults use items such as a refrigerator, microwave oven, pool toys and floats, and gas BBQ grills, and A Baby's Best Friend is certainly happy to accommodate you.

Do you put our name on my rented stroller?

    No. Sadly, in this day and age, we feel it unwise and unsafe to display your family name on a large placard for all the world to see.

    However, the stroller is labeled with discreet identifiers for A Baby’s Best Friend, and we encourage you to decorate with ribbons, balloons, or other non-harmful items to help identify our stroller as yours.

    The safety of you and your family is a paramount concern of A Baby’s Best Friend, and we feel by this action of concern that you will agree.

I am arriving before the standard afternoon resort or rental home check-in time. Can I get my rental items delivered earlier?

    Yes. On our Reservation Page, indicate your arrival one day prior than your actual, and the items will be delivered the day before you arrive, (YES, it’s OK with the resort/rental home). Your items will be waiting for you to use whenever you arrive the following day.

    Additionally, if you anticipate a late check-out or wish to use our items beyond the required 10:00 a.m. retrieval time, indicate your departure date with A Baby’s Best Friend as the day after your actual check-out. This ensures complete use of our wonderful equipment for the duration of your stay.
